Facility Achievements
While some existing MRF’s produce up to 6 different types of plastic packaging, LPP takes this plastic and sorts it by its exact colour and polymer make up. LPP can produce 18 different types of plastic for recycling, with independent testing showing purity of the material over 98%.
The biggest achievement to date has been the facilities separation of the “Mixed Plastic Film” that is produced by the Irish MRF’s, LPP takes this film and segregates it into its various components including LLDPE, LDPE Natural, LDPE Colour, PP, PET and Multilayer in addition to removing any contaminants, LPP is the first facility globally to use a fully automated plant to segregate post consumer film to this level of quality.
